easter eggs

Every now and then I find an easter egg in a program that just makes my day. Those of you using gnome, (with GDM as the login manager) try running `gdmflexiserver --monte-carlo-pi`. It's a valid argument.

opml and xsl

So, with a kick in the pants from teh meek's recent endeavours, I too dove in and learned the power of the dark side....that is XSL page tranformations. Quite the handy way to convert XML content, such as my opml to a more readable version.
So I've been doing work figuring it out and you'll probably end up seeing a lot more useless content to you on this site. But it's handy for me.

sleeping in and using an old toy...gcc

Slept in today. Ended up deciding to try out the new 2.6 series kernel with preemptiblity (a better, more desktop friendly method to schedule different programs running at the same time). Ate up the entire afternoon. Now I've decided I might as well be so cutting edge I could chop my own head off.
Downloaded jhbuild and am starting to try out a fresh new gnome system from CVS.
