everything everything everything everything....

This was something I did not know. Underworld (there are actually two versions of Underworld mk1 (88-89) and mk2 (1990-present)) are part of a collective called tomato. This collective was cofounded by Rick Smith and Karl Hyde of Underworld. Tomato does a lot of things. They hold workshops in Japan. One of their main goals is to break apart barriers in art, the music, visual art, writing, multimedia......
And now, this collective is creating a video game. Kind of. They call it a software toy. It doesn't seem like much of a game, per say. But it seems interesting. Will we see it in North America?

i'll stop and sleep after this line i swear

Blosxom really is nice. I've done a lot more work on it. I can now dynamically create static pages. What I mean is that I can now create a static page and have it be put inside the proper headers and footers, so I can just make html snippets to add in to the site. I'm also still working on a hack that will change Blosxom into a web-comic serving tool as well...I think it'll be rather easy.
I've grown to like Perl as well. Powerful and nice to use. Oh. And I also have a 404 page now too. Place your suggestions (heh. suggestions from whom?) for tag-lines in this writeback.
Maybe all this work will have a point someday, namely when/if this website has a point. Heh.

the silent q website: 60% complete

Well, I've been coding it since 4am, and the results are looking nice. I've hacked Blosxom to do webcomics. Back and Next were implemented rather nicely by Mr. Orchard of 0xDECAFBAD. I've still gotta do up a the other two staple buttons, First and Latest, but that shouldn't be hard. I've also hacked on Blosxom to create entries for jpgs, not the text of files, which was a snap, as well as figuring out that there are comments attached to each picture.
Current problems:
  • it has no theme yet. I still have to create one. (I'll need kevin's input for that)
  • first/last
  • doesn't know what to do when there *isn't* a comment
  • comment dates
  • automagically listing archives
but they'll get fixed soon.

finals repercussions

as taken from AppleGeeks' Shout Corner, (by Zero_Skillz)

"Only through beer can mind, body, and floor become one."

Just thought I'd post that. Finals suck.

finals fantasy chronicles

Well, this has officially been one messed up term. A fire alarm went off during 3 different midterms, the power went out in the PAC at yesterdays CS241 final, and to top it all off today at STAT230, yes, another fire alarm.
Maybe someone hates me? Probably with the way things turned out. School really drags on now. Finals are worse. Ugh. When will this all be over? When can I have a few classes that interest me? Not now. Almost there? I hope.
Academic probation, here I come.

j0 jo3!

Well last night was pretty good. I haven't seen that many friends in Guelph together since high school. My friend TVR has opened up his own paintball arena in Guelph, Renegade Paintball. The field is awesome. Carpeted so sliding and diving is nice and slick. Much better than gravel and sand. And well, there was about 20 or so people there, and paint was cheap (thanks TVR..) and we all played until we were too tired and sore to play any more.
I was (kinda) sick too, but that didn't stop me. Fun fun.

schweet!

Well Christmas is almost upon us. Jay just gave me a present. Tickets to see the Watchmen at the Horseshoe on Friday! One of their last shows as they are breaking up, but it should be a rocking show. Looking forward to it very much. Sweet sweet!

Merry Christmas!

Well, its Christmas. Just wanted to wish my loyal readers (so, that'd be what? Kate and Kev..heh..) a Merry Christmas.

watchmen show

Well the ears are still ringing, but the show was great. Played almost everything I wanted to hear. Two encores. Kickass. The third and last time I'll see them. At least I'll still have the records. Tomorrow is Christmas with the family. That seems to wrap up Boxing Day.

ddr - fun for the whole family

First and foremost, hope everyone had a good New Year.
Was at my Jay's girlfriend's place for New Years, and it was a good time. Thanks a bunch Colleen!
Otherwise a *lot* of Dance Dance Revolution was played today. Teaching my family how to play. They all actually thought it was pretty fun, but thats probably cause it reallly is. But man what a workout! (Hey Caitlin, be prepared, I'll challenge you next week!)
